This website is operated by Sovereign Wealth Solutions (Pty) Ltd ("Sovereign Wealth Solutions", "we", "us"), an executive advisory firm based in Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa. We are the responsible party for personal information collected through this website under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). This notice explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

Information we collect
We collect personal information only when you give it to us, through one of two forms on this website.
Discovery Discussion enquiries. Your name, email address and the details of your enquiry, together with your organisation, telephone number, role and the nature of your enquiry where you choose to provide them.
Insights subscriptions. Your email address only, and the page on which you subscribed.
We do not collect financial, medical or other special personal information through this website. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, this notice will be updated before any such technology is enabled.
How we use your information
Enquiry information is used solely to respond to your enquiry and, where a working relationship follows, to communicate with you about that engagement. Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to anything.
Subscription information is used solely to send you Insights notes — at most one substantial note a month. We do not send subscribers sequences, promotions or offers of services.
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information, and we do not use it for any purpose other than those described here.
Insights subscriptions and how to unsubscribe
We send Insights notes only to people who have asked to receive them by subscribing on this website. Subscribing is your consent to receive them, and you may withdraw that consent at any time.
To unsubscribe, reply to any note asking to be removed, or use the contact form. Your address will be removed from our list and you will receive no further notes. Every note we send explains how to do this.
How your information is processed
Both forms on this website are processed by Formspree, a third-party form-handling service that relays each submission to Werner Badenhorst's email inbox. Formspree acts as an operator on our behalf and may process and store submissions on servers located outside South Africa. It is contractually and technically bound to appropriate confidentiality and security standards.
This website loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address in order to deliver the fonts. Google Fonts does not set cookies.
Retention
Enquiry information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry or, if a client relationship follows, for the duration of that relationship and any period required by law or professional obligation thereafter.
Subscription information is retained until you unsubscribe, after which your address is deleted from our list.
Your rights
Under POPIA, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information held by us; to object to its processing on reasonable grounds; and to withdraw your consent to receiving Insights notes at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact our Information Officer through the contact form.
If you believe your information has been handled improperly, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information submitted through this website against loss, unauthorised access and misuse.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time to reflect changes in how the website operates. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.
